She's got brown hair! She's wearing sequins and a kimono in the video and doing a weird routiney thing! She's got a new album out on 10th February!
Yes, bubblegum-voiced chanteuse Nina Persson of The Cardigans, formerly the blonde-bobbed retro dreamgirl we wanted to BEEEEE in the 90s, is making a comeback as a solo artist with a new album, Animal Heart.
“The most difficult and maybe also the best thing about going solo is probably all the decisions you make alone... I have forced myself to just keep going and follow only my gut with this album," says the singing Swede of her new foray into solo territory. Ok then!
We've got the new single, also called Animal Heart, on rotation on the Motilo stereo and we can confirm it is a winner: involving a delightful downbeat electro-ish feel plus all the sugar-coated pop licks you expect from everyone's favourite indie heroine... behold its wonderousness (and the sequins and the kimono):
Nina is also touring very soon, shall we go? For dates and more Nina info, the Persson Facebook is right here.
