The weather in the UK has been terrifying in the past week, and it looks set to continue. Don't be fooled by the current bright skies, more sheets of rain and high speed wind are sure to plague us throughout January - but this is no excuse to sit indoors and feel sorry for yourself.
There are plenty of gorgeous things to wear that keep you dry and comfortable in whatever gales come your way. Leather trousers might seem a controversial choice, but their already wet-look makes them a great choice as you won't look quite as sodden as you would wearing heavy denim. A pair of wedge boots will help you keep your balance, whilst retaining a flattering height, and cropped sweaters can be added for warmth and yet figure friendly shape. A light weight scarf can be securely wrapped around your neck to stop it from flying off and a pair of flattering cut out gloves are necessary for gripping onto your sturdy umbrella.
In case the winds are so strong that it turns inside out, you'll need waterproof headgear and a raincoat. There's no need to be dreary though - vibrant colours and cute animal ears are a sweet way to brighten up a dull day. A look like this will certainly help you weather any storm.
